Why you need an image consultant?

Historically, clothing was made bespoke for an individual, either home sewn or professionally tailored by a highly trained dressmaker/tailor.  The fabric, style and attributes of the garments were specifically designed for the individual; considering the specific needs the individual had for the garment.  Hence, fit, style or suitability were not issues.

Today, it is very rare for an individual to have professionally tailored clothing made; except for special occasions or for those that have the financial means; not to mention those able to enjoy haute couture.  Most of us are reliant on mass produced clothes that may look good on clothes hangers but are not designed for any of our unique bodies.

The ‘ready-made’ fashion market like any business is about making profit and is not interested in making you look good as an individual.  Therefore, it can be challenging and even overwhelming to find clothes that work for your unique style, colour, personality and proportions.

An image consultant, like myself can refine this process and help to make it easier and even more efficient in terms of time. Being time poor is a common complaint of many clients who struggle to meet the needs of their family, friends and work as well as to have the time to spend hours finding the right lipstick, shoe or top. However, they still want to feel good in their appearance despite their many roles.

Further, you can trust me to have your best interests at heart, rather than a retail staff member who either may be driven by commission or is simply not professionally trained and will say anything to make a sale.
